Experts have conducted tests on water stabilizers used by some power plants in East China, North China and northwest China, and grasped the influence of these water stabilizers on common metal ions in their cooling water and their corrosion inhibition function, and suggested that power plants adopt the method of using corresponding corrosion inhibitors to prevent corrosion, which has achieved good results.

Electrochemical anode protection is a new technology for corrosion prevention of steel sulphuric acid container. It has been widely used in the coolers of hot concentrated sulphuric acid in sulphuric acid production, and has been extended to the corrosion-prone parts of the acid transport pipeline connected with it. The sacrific anode protection technology is adopted to prevent the erosion of underground metal pipeline. The anode material is magnesium alloy. The electrode potential of the protected metal pipeline is controlled between -0.88 ~ -1.22V, which plays a good role in protecting the underground metal measures.
